Presenting Your Home – 7 Rules to Success
Presenting your home and property in the best way possible is critical in achieving the maximum price. There are many things large and small that you can do to enhance the appeal of your home and improve the sale price. I have listed below some of my key recommendations.
Rule 1 is always de-clutter as much as possible.
Rule 2 “First impressions count” Ensure the front of your property is immaculate and presented in the best way possible.
Rule 3 Make sure you complete any outstanding maintenance and repairs. Ensure all of the light bulbs, and chattels such as range hood, oven, etc are working.
Rule 4 Have your gardens looking their best – bring in a professional if need be.
Rule 5 If the home is empty seriously consider having the house dressed by a professional, yes it can be expensive but it is well worth the investment.
Rule 6 Have the home looking immaculate, cleanliness makes a very positive impression on the buyer. Clean away fly spots, wash walls and clean switches, it all makes a difference.
Rule 7 Talk to the neighbours before the open home, loud music or excessive noise from a neighbour can undo all of the good work you have done.
